Design Notes
  • All audio over Dante (Layer 3 multicast). Dedicated VLAN required.
  • Shure MXA920 requires PoE+ (802.3at) — verify switch capability.
  • HDBaseT runs limited to 100m (328ft) of Cat6A; shielded preferred.
  • Room Navigator mounted at door height (42" AFF). Confirm ADA compliance.
  • Display mounts not included — coordinate with architect for wall blocking.
  • Codec USB-C connects directly to in-room laptop for BYOD sessions.
Functional Narrative

The medium conference room is designed to serve 8–12 occupants with a fully integrated video conferencing experience. The Cisco Room Bar Pro serves as the primary codec, camera, and speaker bar, mounted above the primary display. Audio capture is handled by two Shure MXA920 ceiling array microphones transmitting via Dante to the Biamp TesiraFORTÉ AI for processing, AEC, gating, and reinforcement. Reinforced audio is distributed to six JBL ceiling speakers via the Biamp 4×50 amplifier. Video switching is managed through the Extron DXP 88 matrix, routing local laptop inputs (via USB-C/HDMI at table boxes) and codec output to dual 75" Samsung displays. Displays receive signal over HDBaseT (100m rated) via Extron DTP2 transmitters and receivers. The Cisco Room Navigator provides room scheduling and call control at the entrance. Control programming (Crestron) manages display power, input selection, camera presets, and DSP scenes.
